TUITION.

Weekly lessons are scheduled year-round in 30, 45 or 60 minute increments. All lessons will be prepaid on the 1st day of the month, regardless of attendance. A late payment fee of $15 is due after 5th.

Student books and materials are not included in the tuition. Students will periodically be asked to purchase music and supplies, I will provide specific information on items needed and how and where to easily purchase them.

On occasion I will send FREE supplements that will need to be printed for the lesson: this includes bonus pieces, composing exercises and note reading games.

ATTENDANCE & MISSED LESSON POLICY.

There are no make-up lessons, refunds, or credit provided for missed lessons, although if 24-hour notice is given I *may* be able to offer a makeup if my schedule allows, this is a courtesy and not guaranteed. The tuition paid reserves an exclusive weekly time for the student. You are therefore requested to choose a lesson day and time which works consistently with you/your child’s schedule.

PRACTICE.

Students are expected to practice at least 5 times a week. It is the responsibility of the parent to schedule and enforce daily practice. The weekly assignments should be viewed as "homework." Younger students may need help such as pointing to notes and using the flashcards. Please communicate with me as to what is required of your individual student.

4 or 5 regular small practice sessions can be much more effective than 1 or 2 long ones.

Goal = 5 x a week.
Primer: 10 minutes daily 
Level 1: 15-20 minutes daily 
Level 2 and up: 30+ minutes daily
